Certificate IV in Aviation – Commercial Pilot Helicopter Licence.

Heliwest is a Registered Training Organisation recognised by the Training Accreditation Council of WA. We work hard to ensure training complies with the Australian Quality Training Framework which enables us to provide our students with the safest, industry specific and career specific training.

The Certificate IV in Aviation course is nationally recognised and available to most students seeking to gain their Commercial Pilots Licence or a higher qualification. Heliwest makes this course available to students at no additional cost to their commercial training. You can get two qualifications for the price of one – your Commercial Pilots Licence and Certificate IV in Aviation. Students wishing to join this course or apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) will only be required to pay for check flights and or ground courses as required in normal licensing procedures (this is provided evidence of training can be provided for the purpose of RPL). Applicants with previous aviation experience; be that ground theory or flying (for example fixed wing – Aeroplane) in many cases will be eligible to receive some RPL.

At present Heliwest has five instructors qualified to teach the Cert IV in Aviation. We are happy to provide training in this area to students of all levels of training - First flight through to recognition of prior learning for candidates would already hold the CPL (H).
