Born into aviation as the son of a licensed helicopter engineer, I bring 59 years of industry experience to my dual roles as Manager of Heliwest Services Pty Ltd and Head of Aircraft Airworthiness. My career has taken me through diverse paths, from courier work to graphic design, sound and lighting in entertainment, and IT coordination, but the call of helicopters always brought me back.  

 

Since joining Heliwest in 1996, I’ve worked across stores, logistics, sales, customer service, IT, technical records, airworthiness, and cost analysis, contributing to nearly every facet of the organisation except flying. Now, I oversee airworthiness administration for operations and manage our maintenance organization alongside the engineering team, ensuring top-tier service delivery.  

 

Heliwest’s values of safety, professionalism, and teamwork guide my work, serving as my benchmark whether I’m mentoring an apprentice, collaborating with the CEO, or engaging with suppliers and customers. My primary goal is to keep our team and clients safe, treating both as family. Outside of work, I find balance by drumming, channelling frustrations into rhythm, as nothing beats the release of hitting the drums after a challenging day.
