I have spent several years as a business partner in aircraft refurbishing, skillfully serving major airlines and the private sector across Australasia. My career then led me to aviation insurance with QBE, followed by a role in multinational insurance. Seeking a slower pace, I embraced a sea change, taking on the role of manager at an IGA store on King Island. While there, I was invited to join the accounts team at the King Island Council. Yet, with aviation deeply embedded in my spirit, I found it impossible to resist its pull, leading me to apply for an accounting position at Heliwest, where I was soon appointed as head of operations.
